Winter Birthdays

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)

Now, I know we are in the middle of June, but, once we have passed Mid-Summers Day on 21 June, my mind ALWAYS starts wandering towards That Thing On 25 December We Don't Mention. Bleurgh! And because you can be sure that even though I think about it for many months, I also bury my head in the sand about it for many months too.

So, come December, when really, I need to have a lovely big stack of cards ready prepared for That Thing On 25 December We Don't Mention, I find myself rushing around, promising myself that next year will be different. Ahem!

To ease myself into the process of making cards for That Thing On 25 December We Don't Mention, I thought I would share a Winter Birthday Card. Yes, you read that right. After today, I will not be making anything vaguely That Thing On 25 December We Don't Mention related until approximately 17 December...

There. That wasn't so bad was it?!

Summer Fruits and Sunny Days!

Hello there, who cannot resist a sweet, ripe peach at this time of year?  I certainly can't and nor can this little girl by Mo Manning.

It is another "no-lines" colouring primarily in Copic with a little bit of pencil enhancement to assist with some of the finer, fiddlier details that I just love to add.

To achieve the softer no-lines look I printed Mo Manning's digital stamp using Apple Pages and reduced the opacity of Peaches to 20%, thus printing the image in pale grey rather than the usual black.  The same sort of effect can be achieved using Word or a similar program.

When you add colour to your printed image the lines are less obvious enabling you to create a much more delicate, realistic piece of work.

     COPIC COLOURS:
     Background: B0000, B000, G0000, G000
     G00, T0, T1, T2, YG0000

     Sandals: E41, E42, E43, W1, W2

     Peach: YR20, YR00, YR02, R32, Y32, W1

Tutorial, how to colour classic shojo manga style with Copics, by Suki Manga Art

Dear Copic friends, today we have a new manga tutorial!!!  \(^O^)/

I will show you step by step how to colour a classic shojo  manga style girl.

This is a very easy and detailed description about the process, I hope you enjoy it!

This is final result after complete this tutorial, I hope you like it ^__^

First of all I start coloring the skin

1)  E000 for the clearer areas of the skin. You do not need to cover all the area of the paper

2) E00 to add light shadows.

3) I used RV10 on cheeks to add blush and make up

4) Apply the shadows of the skin with E21 for the darkest areas

5) I used RV24 as lipstick

6) R25 to colour the dress

7) RV95 to add shadows on the clothes

8) I choose BV13 to colour these little grapes

9) and BV08 to add volume to them

10) YG06 for the leafs

11) and G17 for the shadows of the leafs

12) Next step is to colour the base of a blonde hair with Y11

13) I used Y08 to emphasize the ringlets

14) Then, with E11 I apply little shadows to create more volume

15) Flowers has many different colours, this time I used RV10 for the petals

16) And B00 for the little flowers

17) With B12 I add depht

18) I decided to use also R81 for the base of the petals

19) I used R32 to then mix it with the final colour...

20) and RV25 for the deepest part

Last steps are to add little details with colored ink pens. I also added few flowers as backgroung.

What about how to colour manga eyes? *_*  you will find here another tutorial about this subject: Tutorial, How to colour manga eyes

Thanks for visiting this tutorial, I hope you enjoyed it!

See you soon! (^o^)/

Bye!

Pink Hair!

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)

I don't know about you, but, I find I have some favourite Colour Combos I use for hair. I also don't use the RVs in my collection very often. So, I thought it was about time I rectified this situation. I don't want my RVs feeling left out, after all!

I thought I would use Tiddly Inks Wryn - Whatcha Doin' so I could really have a play with the hair and pack a full, RV pink punch.

I challenge you to reach out and play with your ignored Copics!

Copics Used...
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E71
Hair; RV17, RV09, RV29, RV69
White; N0, N1, N3
Black; N3, N5, N7, N9

Thanks so much for stopping by... Have a great day.

be a rainbow sprinkle

For today's creation I've used a background created with the gelli-plate and lots of acrylic paints.
The image is by the Faery Ink.

After I created this background with the gelli-plate I used some background stamps by Dina Wakley (gingham print and dots) and My Favorite Things (typewriter).

This lovely fairy by the Faery Ink is of course coloured with Copic Markers.
The colours I've used are:

skin: E0000, 000, 00, 50, BV000, 00, W1, BG0000, R00
eyes: YG06, 17, 67
hair: E08, 09, YR07, 16, 15, 14, 31
top: YR07, 16, 15, 14, 31
leaves: YR07, 16, 15, 14, 31, Y11
wings: YR31, Y11

And this is the end result.

Have a lovely day and see you next month.

Miranda
